Following the resounding success of our Virtual Choral Conference in August, we’re delighted to bring you an exciting weekend of online training and learning this Autumn, with unique programmes of activity for vocal leaders and experienced choral conductors working with orchestras (or planning to do so).
Two courses are on offer during the weekend:
- The Conducting Essentials Course for complete beginners, those with some conducting or vocal leadership experience, and anyone keen to gain a good understanding of the basics of our approach; it’s also particularly suitable for those looking to lead singing in the classroom.
- The Orchestral Conductor’s Toolkit Course for more experienced conductors, and those who are currently studying at SfP Intermediate 2 level or above; it will focus on helping choral conductors to communicate and work effectively with instrumentalists, including piano accompanists.
The weekend starts with a ‘wake and shake’ warm-up at 9.00am on Saturday, with the two separate courses then pursuing their own programmes of activity, and ends at 4.00pm on Sunday following an informal sing-along and open forum session with tutors.
