Course Description

2-3 November 2019

Timings:
Saturday – 10:00am-6:15pm
Sunday – 9:15am-3:30pm

Join us this Autumn for our final training weekend in 2019, at a magnificent NEW venue in Bolton; we’ll be running a host of courses designed specifically to develop and improve your conducting or singing skills! Online booking is now open.

Alongside our popular choral conducting courses at Foundation and Intermediate 1 and 2 levels, we’ll be offering our Orchestral Conducting Course – perfect for individuals looking to extend their conducting skills to include this area, or for those who already have some experience. Repertoire for students on the Orchestral Course includes Vivaldi: The Four Seasons and Warlock: Capriol Suite.

Ideally, Orchestral Course participants should have completed our choral conducting programme to at least Intermediate 2 level, but others with some orchestral conducting experience will also be considered.

In addition, we are running our Musicianship for Singers Course at Foundation level, for those who would like to gain an understanding of music theory from a singer’s perspective and develop sight reading skills in a lively, supportive environment. If you are unsure which MfS course level is right for you to start at, please email the programme leader to check.
