Why we need your support
Share our passion for music and give your support today. Our current revenue levels don’t cover the costs of everything we need and want to do, so we need extra help.
Sing for Pleasure is run solely by volunteers and we rely heavily on the generosity of our members and supporters. Throughout our history we’ve achieved a huge amount and our plans for the next decade are exciting – but they won’t happen without your support.
- Continuing our Young Conductors Programme, offering annual scholarships for talented young musicians
- An education programme to encourage school teachers to join our courses, keeping music alive in schools
- The establishment of a series of bespoke repertoire days for primary school teachers
- Reaching new audiences by establishing community choirs across the country
- A series of residential weekends for talented and gifted young children
We would like to do all of this – and much, much more. To make sure that we can, we really do need your support. Please contact our fundraiser to discuss how you can help further.
Launched in 2016, our tiered Scholarship Supporter Scheme allows businesses and individuals to play their part in shaping the nation’s choral future.
The scheme is structured to fully fund – or part-fund – scholarship places on our acclaimed Young Conductors Programme, either for one year or on a regular annual basis.
Subscribers to the Supporter Scheme receive acknowledgement and enjoy a range of benefits based on the entry level they choose (Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum). Click on the relevant links below to download information:
A printable scheme application form for both supporter categories is available here.

Gift Aiding your donation means that for every £1 you give, we can claim an extra 25 pence from HM Revenue and Customs, which helps your donation to go further – and it won’t cost you a penny if you’re a UK tax payer (under normal circumstances). On top of that, if you are a higher rate taxpayer you can claim further relief on the donation in your annual tax return. It’s that simple! Download a Gift Aid form here.
