Event Information : Choral Conducting Course
Description

This three day course is aimed at music makers who work with choral groups across a range of settings, including those in schools and community.

Sing for Pleasure is working in partnership with the University of Reading Institute of Education and with support from Sing up.

Content

We use a combination of practical sessions and workshops to build on your knowledge and skills, ensuring that you achieve a high quality of engagement, and develop aspects of style, technique and musicianship.

There are three levels: -

Getting started is aimed at those who are beginning or who want to brush up on their skills.

Moving on is aimed at participants with some experience of conducting.

Advanced will involve working with challenging repertoire, selected in advance from the list provided.

During the course, you will work with our team of presenters on a wide variety of activities, including the vocal warm up, choosing repertoire and learning how to build and shape choral sound.
